I might suggest you look at the video Debra and David did about caregiving. I think Debra describes in a very brave and direct way the struggles for family, especially the caregiver, in dealing with this situation over time. I've already had comments from folks who have been through this about how the videos validate and give voice to their experience. One woman talked about how difficult it was for several years when her husband wanted to keep the disease a secret within the family, it was easier for her when they could let others in to help. Thanks to Debbie and David for this gift. It can't be easy. G Christ

I work at the Veterans Medical Center in St Louis MO. I am interested in registering for the webinar, however I do not know if I will be able to access the hosting site from our VA.
I have contacted our IT department who stated that they would need to know the hosting site to be able to confirm if I can access the webinar.
Could you please provide that information? I do not want to register if I can not access from work due to webinar time.
Thank you

Thanks for your comment, Scott. We will look into that documentary. You may be interested to see that Michael Friedman is doing a series on healthy aging. Here's another interesting post on dementia, this time on caregiver relationships: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-friedman-lmsw/meaningful-relationships-_b_859783.html

Interesting post - had also read the HuffPost piece you mention. Have been reading a lot on this topic, including the book mentioned. Also saw a documentary film called "I Remember Better When I Paint", which really shifted the mindset to look at Alzheimer's in a different way. The film documents how the creative arts help communications and rebuild quality of life for those with Alzheimer's. Inspiring, and informative as doctors explain how the creative and emotional remain with those who have Alzheimer's, all the way to the end.
